Kos is a great spot to practice windsurfing or kitesurfing due to the great “Meltem” winds. It is also a great spot thanks to its sandy beaches with blue waters to enjoy during your summer holidays

The windy season lasts from April until October and so longer than you might think. Even at the beginning of April and the end of October you will find good windy conditions and nice warm weather.

On top of all the good news, you will find cheap flights to Kos departing several days per week with Ryan Air or the bigger tour operaters. The transfer from the airport is only a short 15 minute drive away from your accommodation.

With a 2000 kilometers coastline, Sardinia is one of the windier regions of Italy and a true mecca for kitesurfing enthusiasts, both beginner and advanced. As Sardinia has four main winds depending on the time of year, the best kitesurfing beaches are in the south of the Island, in Cagliari, Porto Pino or Porto Pollo.

We would recommend the beach of Porto Pino that is one of the most beautiful beach of Sardinia, with a stunning white sandy beach with a turquoise sea and high white dunes. Either if you want to book a kite camp or kiteboarding beginner courses, you have many choices!

paros-kite-pro-center

Located on the Western shore of Paros Island (Cyclades), the spot of Pounda is one of the most famous kiteboarding spots in Greece. And it is no without reason : its position in front the twin small island Anti-Paros creates a venturi effect between the two islands, and still leaves about one mile to take long kitesurfing rides.

The spot is well equipped in terms of infrastructures, as there are 2 kite centers where you’ll be able to take Kiteboarding Lessons in Paros. Just an advice, think to book it in advance for July and August as it’s the high season and it’s often fully booked!

Beside kitesurfing, Paros Island is gorgeousauthentic and provides lots of other activities. But we truly advice you to ride in Paros and to stay in the charming little island of Antiparos, because there are many nice small restaurants, cool bars and the small village is still very typical and beautiful.

Best season to go there for kitesurfing: from June to September
The +: huge kitesurfing area – infrastructures – steady and consistent wind
